James grew up in Queens, NY. He has a Master of Divinity and a Master of Arts in Religion
(Counseling) from Westminster Theological Seminary. He also has a Master of Theology from
Princeton Theological Seminary. He is happily married to his wife, Hera, and they have two
adorable children. He enjoys good conversations and good food, and he seeks to serve God by
faithfully shepherding the flock of God.

Ester grew up in Seoul, Korea. She attended dental school in San Francisco, and moved to New York shortly after. Ester became the Children’s Ministry Director in early 2022. She loves riddles, singing, ballet, and fried foods. She currently resides in Flushing with her husband and son. 

Kristen grew up in Queens, New York. She currently lives in Long Island with her husband and two boys. She loves traveling, trying new restaurants and all things organization.

Stephen grew up in Flushing, Queens and has attended Kings Cross Church for over ten years. He has a deep love for community and loves connecting with others to live life and experience the love of Jesus together. He currently resides in downtown Flushing with his wife Ester and son Ryan. Stephen enjoys exploring new foods/restaurants in NYC and has gotten into long distance running… so that he can eat more food.

Terence was born in Long Island, NY and has lived there for most of his life. He is married to his wife, Eunmi, and together they are raising their son, Zachary. Terence was a part of the initial launch team that planted Kings Cross Church and currently serves as a ruling elder. He is humbled by the faithfulness and love God has allowed him to experience over the years and is hopeful for the redemptive work that God is doing in the midst of our brokenness.  Outside of church, Terence works as a speech-language pathologist in the New York City public school system; servicing high school age students with developmental disabilities. He enjoys watching movies, hiking in nature, exploring new locations, eating good food, and playing board games when he has the free time.

Matt grew up in Rego Park, Queens. He married his college sweetheart, Grace, and they have three beautiful children. He is currently a high school mathematics teacher and has been an educator since 2003. Matt and his family were part of the core team that was sent from Living Faith Community Church to plant King’s Cross Church in 2012. He is humbled by what God has allowed him to witness and experience at King’s Cross Church, and is excited to see more people being renewed by the grace and love of Jesus Christ.

Curtis was born in China and came to the US and settled in Woodside, Queens when he was 11.  He came to faith as a high school senior at Living Faith Community Church (LFCC) through its basketball outreach program.  He was a faithful member of LFCC, but he and his family decided to come to King’s Cross Church when it was planted in 2012.  Currently, Curtis serves as a ruling elder.  He is a proud husband to Jane, a proud father to Isaiah, Samantha, Lydia and Tobias, a proud NYC public school teacher, and a not so proud Brooklyn Nets and NY mets fan.  His hobbies include attending sports games and eating good food with his family.  

Andrew was born in Seoul, South Korea, and moved to Long Island, NY during elementary school. He went to Boston for college and graduate school before coming back home to NY. Andrew joined King’s Cross in 2013, and has served mostly as a community group leader and sports ministry lead, which relates to his favorite hobbies: hanging out with people and playing basketball. Andrew works as a strategy & operations professional in the CPG industry. He currently resides in Forest Hills with his beautiful wife and two amazing daughters.

Judy is what some call a Chinalatina, Chinese born in Panama
City, Panama. Raised in different neighborhoods in New York
City and finally settled down in Flushing. Judy was part of the core team when King’s Cross Church was
planted. She loves serving in the Diaconate and Welcoming teams to show hospitality to KCC
members and people in our community. In her free time she
enjoys visiting different historic gardens while traveling and
eating the local food.

Edward was born in Alaska, grew up in Bayside and currently resides in Flushing. He is an automotive technician who enjoys working with his hands. His hobbies include Lego, mechanical keyboards, and all things sci-fi. He currently serves in the Children Education Ministry and Fortnite affinity group.

Lisa Fong was born and raised in Richmond Hill, Queens, NY. She began attending a local youth group in middle school and dedicated her life to Christ while in high school. She graduated from Binghamton University with a Psychology degree. She was a long-time member of Living Faith Community Church before joining the Flushing church plant for Kings Cross Church in 2013. Lisa has served in various ministries over the years in welcoming, finance and children’s education. She has been serving on the diaconate team since Feb 2013. She is married to Gary Fong and proud mom of two daughters Avery and Addison. Lisa had a long career as a fashion marketing professional in Manhattan but has recently transitioned to healthcare and is enjoying her role caring and interacting with orthopedic surgery patients at the hospital in Flushing.

Kim was born in South Korea, raised mostly in New Jersey, and currently resides in Downtown Flushing. Upon her return from overseas missions where she taught English to Chinese and North Korean college students, she moved to New York and joined the King’s Cross family in 2018. Currently as an ESL educator, she serves international students in their adjustment to the US academic environment. Kim enjoys doing life together with her community group members, going on runs, and pursuing meaningful work that honors God’s heart.

Charles is a member of the Diaconate team at King’s Cross Church. He is involved in leading one of the church’s community groups. He has been an active participant in the church since its early days.

Jovita is a loving wife and dedicated mother to Joielle and Atticus. Along with their furry family member, Mochi, they make their home in Great Neck, NY. She currently serves on the Diaconate and Welcoming teams.

Eunmi grew up in Flushing and has lived in New York for most of her life except for her college years spent in Michigan. She is married to Terence Moy with an energetic son and currently resides in Long Island. She will always be a Flushing girl at heart. Eunmi loves to travel and works in the travel tech space.

Grace is part of the diaconate team and currently serves as the Mercy Case Coordinator. She and her family were part of the core team that was sent from Living Faith Community Church to plant King’s Cross Church in 2012 and has been blessed to witness God’s faithfulness to this community over the years. She is married to Matt, has three wonderful children and works as a nurse practitioner in oncology. 

Jane has been attending King’s Cross since the beginning. She’s had the privilege to be part of the diaconate team and grow together in our love for Christ and for others. She looks forward to seeing how God works in our lives and our Flushing community.

Brendon grew up in Long Island and currently resides in Flushing with his wife Bonita. He has been part of Kings Cross shortly after it opened its doors in 2012. Brendon currently enjoys serving on the Diaconate Team and Music Ministry.
